Event Description:
This workshop was held in a classroom setting that last for 2 hours for each session and there was a total of 3 sessions which have the same activities. It consisted of two different art-related activities: 1) Santa Claus Spoon Puppet-making 2) Santa Claus hat-making. During the lessons, we teached arts and craft skills which the children may have not been exposed to. Hence, we hope that through this workshop, the children were able to learn something new from us and brought not only the little craftwork of theirs home to show their family, but also the skills that they had learnt from us. Our aim was to allow them to know more about art as most of them might not have a chance to attend art lessons.
Since the Christmas season is near, we decided to revolve the workshop around the Christmas theme. It was also to get the kids more hyped up about Christmas and get into the spirit. At the end of each session, we gave the kids Christmas candies to show them the spirit of giving. They can also give the art work they made to their parents to share the joy of Christmas.
